Artist Cathy Ehrler has evolved into an artist who focuses on her surroundings to create work that calls attention to the environment and our responsibilities to take care of it. A resident of Atlanta, Georgia, Ehrler garners much of her inspiration from ordinary objects around her. Her current series “Trashy Art on Means St” is a year-long journey of creating art from the trash found on her street. She has displayed many solo exhibitions including her series "Environmental Reverberations" and "Abstraction/Distraction" which received excellent reviews. Her works are included in numerous corporate and private collections and her paintings have been featured in solo and group shows throughout the United States. Ehrler has earned Signature Membership in the San Diego Watercolor Society, The Kentucky Watercolor Society and the Georgia Watercolor Society where she is a past president. She is a Member of Excellence in the Atlanta Artists Center. Her home and studio are in separate units in a 150 year old factory warehouse.
